Betty L. Gebers

Betty Lou Gebers the daughter of Lester and Goldie (Hageman) Timmerman was born January 20, 1939 in Correctionville, IA. She attended school in the Holstein, IA area.

Betty married Clifford Gebers September 11, 1957. Three sons were born to this marriage. They lived in Garden Grove, CA for 13 years, then returned back to Quimby, IA in 1971 where they farmed from then on.

Betty loved the Lord, and visited various churches. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gardening, and spending time with loved ones and friends.

On February 25, 2014 Betty entered into Heaven at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 5 days, at the Careage Hills Nursing Home in Cherokee, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Gebers; her parents, Lester and Goldie Timmerman; and one sister Shirley Christiansen.

Betty is survived by her three sons, Vernon and his wife Linda from Quimby, IA, Virgil and his wife Andrea also from Quimby, IA, and Galen from Sioux City, IA; one brother, Lester Jr. (Dean) Timmerman and his wife Tessie of Holstein, IA; seven grandchildren, Katrina and her husband Jesse Trudell of Sioux City, IA, Matthew Gebers of Murrieta, CA, Vernon Gebers Jr. of Correctionville, IA, Amber and her husband Travis Walters of Sioux City, IA, Jeremy Gebers of Quimby, IA, Isabel Gebers of Quimby, IA and Samuel Gebers, of Quimby, IA; four great-grandchildren, Vernon Gebers III, Alanna Walters, Vance Trudell, and Connor Walters, as well as other relatives and friends.
