Carl Alvin Huth Jr. was born on June 4, 1935 to Carl and Bertha (Miller) Huth. He was born and raised on a farm south of Washta in Ida County and graduated from Washta High School. He farmed with his father until 1956. He was united in marriage to Darlene Graybill on November 18, 1956. To this union four children were born. Carl and Darlene farmed three miles north of Cushing until his death.a
