Catherine “Cathy” Foster, age 62, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Ida Grove, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Colorado Springs, CO. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 05, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein.
Catherine Ann (Streeter) Foster was born November 27, 1955 in Sioux City, Iowa to Marjorie and Richard Streeter. She grew up in Moville, Iowa, moving to St. Louis, MO with her parents and back to Iowa before settling in Colorado. She worked as an administrative assistant in several jobs before finding the one true job she loved, being a nanny for her youngest nephew’s children.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Elvin “Pete” Lightner; sister, Cynthia (Kent) Dittmer of Holstein, IA; nephews, Jeremy (Tera) Parks and JD (Laura) Parks; great-nephews, Gavin, Andrew, Joshua and Samuel Parks and great-niece, Isabella Parks; step-great-nephews, Garret (Maddie) Ehlers and Cody (Rachel) Ehlers and many other relative and friends.
