Chad M. Einerwold, was born May 17, 1972 to Daryl and Elizabeth (Powell) Einerwold in Hartley, Iowa. He lived out his childhood in Fostoria, Iowa, until his family moved to Alta when he was in the 3rd grade. While in high school, Chad participated in football, baseball, basketball, and excelled in track, being named the team’s Most Valuable Runner his senior year.
When he finished high school, Chad attended Western Iowa Tech Community College for two years to study criminal justice. He was always a hard worker, having worked at Fareway Store, Merrill Manufacturing, Belle of Sioux City Riverboat Casino, the Alta Police Department, and the Woodbury County Juvenile Detention Facility.
In his free time, Chad enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting with his brothers, stock car races, and watching various sports. He especially enjoyed watching Penn State and St. Louis Rams football and NASCAR. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, water skiing, and bicycling with his dog Jake running alongside.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daryl Einerwold; grandparents, James M. Powell and O’Dean and Darlene Einerwold; step-grandparents, Dean and Josephine Matthew; uncle and cousin, Gary and Jeff Einerwold; and his faithful German Shorthaired Pointer, Jake.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth Einerwold and Bruce Matthew; brothers, David (Kimberly) Einerwold, and Zachary Einerwold; step-brother, Jacob Mathew; nieces, Destiny and Dakota Einerwold; grandmother, Pearl Powell and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
