Deborah Jean Wright was born May 2, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa to Sharlotte J. Wright (Martin) and Lester E. Wright. Debbie spent her early years growing up on the Harold and Sharlotte Arp farm southwest of Holstein. Debbie spent the larger portion of her years as a resident of group homes for young adults with disabilities, including most significantly Camelot Square in Denison.
Debbie became a member of and was baptized in June 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Holstein. Debbie lived the past 5 years at the Denison Care Center. While living in Denison, she was employed at WESCO for several years where she made items used by the area food manufacturers. Debbie enjoyed family holidays, “kitties” and babies.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; a very special step-mother, Janice Wright and her grandparents.
Survivors include her brother, Gary (Nyla) of Sioux City, and step-father Harold Arp of Holstein; half-sisters Vickie Wilson (Dale) and Lorie Wright, both of Correctionville, IA; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
