Funeral services for Dennis D. Ludvigson, age 70, of Holstein, are pending at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein.

Dennis passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove.

Dennis D. Ludvigson “Craz” was born July 25, 1950 to Verdine and Lois (Ewoldt) Ludvigson.  He graduated from Eastwood High School. He joined the United States Army Reserves and served five years as a marksman.

Dennis and Cynthia were married August 18, 1994 and they made their home in Holstein.

Dennis worked at the Holstein grain elevator early in his working career. He then traveled the United States and the Virgin Islands as a movie installer in hotels.  Later he installed cable systems in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  After retirement he couldn’t sit still so he went to work for Gomaco as a driver until he became unable to work due to health reasons.

In his free time Dennis enjoyed driving the countryside with his dogs Gracie and Boscoe.  He took great pleasure teasing his grandson Ethan as well as his nieces and nephews and enjoyed caring for his longhorn cattle.  In his younger years Dennis loved to participate in chuckwagon and chariot races and was known to get rowdy with friends while enjoying a good screwdriver.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Holstein, IA; stepson, Kelly (Stephanie) Bivens and their children Adam and Ethan of Holstein; siblings, Colleen (Steve) Evans of Holstein, IA, Keith (Sherri) Ludvigson of Cushing, IA, Darnelle (Denny) Burton of Monona, IA and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Ruby Neyman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
