Ella Fredericks Bravard was born August 23, 1915 in Battle Creek, IA, the daughter of Emil and Anna Bubke. She grew up on a farm near Battle Creek and attended a country school. Later, she stayed at home to help care for her eight younger brothers and sisters.
On August 21, 1940, Ella married William “Bill” Fredericks in Grant Township near Ida Grove, IA. They were blessed with two children, Virginia and Stan. William died March 27, 1972. On November 6, 1977 Ella married Charles “Everett” Bravard, Jr. Mr Bravard died October 13, 1986.
Ella was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alta, IA for many years until moving to the Hampton Health Care Center in December of 2006.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill and husband Everett; siblings, Elmer Bubke, Irvin Bubke, Irene Thornhill and Marvin Bubke.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia (Rolan) Waters of Knoxville, TN; her son, Stan (Sherry) Fredericks of Sioux City, IA; sister, Helen Piper; brothers, Glen Bubke, Dwaine (Elaine) Bubke and Raymond (Bonnie) Bubke; grandchildren, Laura (Chris-deceased) Piper, Karen (John) Ernst, Matt (Jennifer) Vollrath, René Fredericks, Randy (Cathy) Fredericks; great-grandchildren, Scottie (Mary Collins) Vollrath, Danielle (Kraig) Bolte, Jonna (Sam) Heath, Kalin, Brooks and Maddie Vollrath; and Andrew Zafer; great-great-grandchild, Ryan Bolte; as well as four step-children and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral:
Ella L. Bravard, age 97, of Sioux City, formerly of Hampton and Alta, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Hallmark Care Center of Sioux City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church o

Burial will be at the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery of Storm Lake.
