Elvin Allan Remmick

Elvin A. Remmick, age 80, of Cushing, passed away on Tuesday, February 04, 2020 at his home of Cushing.  Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Elvin “Sonny” Allan Remmick was born February 16, 1939 in Willmar, MN to Elvin and Adalian (Milbritt) Remmick.

Sonny was united in marriage to Leanne Fay Fowler on April 25, 1957.  To this union four children were born.  They made their home in Cushing, Iowa where they lived for the past 32 years.  Leanne passed away on January 15, 2008.

Sonny had lots of hobbies but especially loved caring for his cats.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (David) Hoffard of Sac City, IA; sons, Allan (Carol) Remmick of Yetter, IA, Rick Remmick of Sac City, IA and Jim (Megan) Remmick of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Marie Lile of Sac City, IA, David Hoffard Jr. of Sac City, IA, James Hoffard of Sac City, IA, Emily Dankel of Fort Dodge, IA, Eric Remmick of  Texas, Heather Remmick of LeMars, IA, Alicia Remmick of LeMars, IA, Adam (significant other Brooke Cliene) Remmick of Jackson, MN, Blain (Erin) Remmick of Miami, FL and Megan Remmick of Castana, IA; and great-grandchildren, Reigny and Aiden Lile of Sac City, IA, Wynter Remmick and Cora Remmick.  Elivn is also survived by a brother, Arlen (Mary) Remmick of Fort Worth, TX and brother-in-law, Lawrence Auen of Wall Lake, IA.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leanne; brothers, Daryl and Leroy; sister-in-law, Patty Auen and brothers-in-law, Kenny and David Fowler.
