Elyse Rose Vandeweerd

Elyse Rose VandeWeerd, age 70, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Society of Holstein, Iowa.  Private family services were held. She was born December 15, 1953 in Pierre, South Dakota to John and Lavaune (Krick) VandeWeerd.  She graduated from Schaller High School in 1972.

Elyse lived in Storm Lake and worked as a common laborer.  She was raised in the Methodist faith.  In her free time she enjoyed caring for plants and flowers.  She loved talking and having conversations with people.

She is survived by her brothers, Russell and his wife Ernestine VandeWeerd and Clifford VandeWeerd.

Elyse was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lavaune and her grandparents, Herman and Jennie VandeWeerd.
