Eugene F. Willems was born September 17, 1938 to parents, Mathew and Clementine (Huebner) Willems. He had two brothers and three sisters. Gene graduated from Anthon High School. Gene served in the U.S. Army and later returned home to farm. Gene was married to Gloria Martin August 21, 1965. Gene loved to trap and he was one of the best at it. He spent lots of time teaching others. He truly had a love for the outdoors. Gene also loved selling his produce and meeting many new friends, which he considered family, at the four-way stop in Moville. He was always there to offer a helping hand to someone on the farm or wherever they needed to finish their project. He truly enjoyed helping others.
Left to cherish his memory in his wife is Gloria Willems of Correctionville; one son, Troy Eugene Willems of Correctionville; one daughter, Tania Ann Willems of Sioux City, IA; and one grandson, Kodey Willems of Sioux City, IA.
Eugene F. Willems, age 74, of rural Correctionville, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at his residence of rural Correctionville. There will be no services at this time. Private family services will be held at a later date.
