Fred Alvin Livermore, son of Coridan and Josephine (Bristol) Livermore, was born July 21, 1926 in Anthon, Iowa. Fred was an Anthon High School graduate. He served in the Navy during WWII from February 1944 to November 1947 when he was honorably discharged. He was a Pharmacists Mate, 3rd Class serving at the Hospital Corp School, Dental Technician School and General Prosthetics School in Virginia and Maryland. At the Naval Gun Factory in Washington D.C., Fred made false teeth. He made a full set of teeth for Admiral B. Halsey, as well as congressmen and sailors. He was proud to be a veteran.
He married Thelma (Pat) Messer August 1946. Their marriage was blessed with a son and a daughter. Thelma (Pat) passed away September 13, 1966.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, James Eugene Livermore; a sister, Mae Marie; a brother, James Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Charles Nepple. In his later years, Fred had a special friend, Delores Barkhe, who also preceded him in death.
Fred is survived by a daughter, Barbra and husband, LaMonte, of Grace, Idaho; a daughter-in-law, Geri Frederiksen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; a sister, Patricia Nepple of Sioux City, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Livermore Fisher of Lynchburg, Missouri; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred was proud of his grandchildren. He enjoyed corresponding with them and showing off their pictures. He will be greatly missed and live in our hearts forever.
