Janice Yvonne (Conover) Rohlk

Janice Y Rohlk, age 86, of Holstein and formerly Aurelia passed away on February 13, 2023 after a very short illness at The Knolls of Lincoln, NE.

Private graveside services will be held at the Holstein Cemetery of Holstein, Iowa for close friends and immediate family.  Janice requested a Celebration of Life Service that will be held in Holstein on May 27, 2023 for extended family and friends.

Janice was born May 28, 1936 to Kenneth and Inez (Bauer) Conover on the family farm in Holstein.  She graduated from High School in Holstein and attended college at Wayne State University in Nebraska.  Janice was married to Robert Hechtner and they had 3 children together: Angela, Arlan and Tamara.  Janice worked at the Good Samaritan Center in Holstein for several years in Human Resources.  She later married Kenneth Rohlk.  Janice and Kennie lived in Storm Lake and Aurelia.  Together they had a passion for conservation and preserving family and farming heritage which is evidenced by the numerous projects they completed on their family farms.  Janice enjoyed bookkeeping, gardening, cooking and loved playing cards and games with friends and family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Inez Conover; her husband, Kennie Rohlk; and her brother, Curtis Conover.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Angela (Jim) Johnston and family of Ankeny, Iowa; Arlan (Laura) Hechtner and family of Oklahoma City, OK; Tamara (Jeff) Galvin and family of Lincoln, NE and Ryan (Patty) Rohlk and family of West Okoboji, IA and a large extended family.
