Jason S French

Jason S. French, age 51, of Manila, IA, formerly of Moville, passed away on June 14, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville with Janice Schlotman officiating. A burial will be held at a later date at the Arlington Cemetery of Moville. A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville.

Jason S. French was born November 6, 1972 in Sioux City, Iowa to Steve and Pam (Strohbehn) French.  He was a graduate of Moville High School in 1991.

Jason was currently living in Manilla, Iowa and was employed with Sorensen Farms, farming and trucking. He previously worked in landscaping.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, country music and line dancing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Jason cared deeply about his family and friends, and he had a special bond with his parents. He was a farm kid at heart and loved spending time on the farm with Steve and his grandpa, Wyndham.  He had a soft heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is lovingly remembered by his father, Steve French of Moville, IA; sister, Jennifer (Joe) Chapman; nephew, Collin Chapman and nieces, Ava Chapman and Kali (Zeb) Binneboese. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Pam French; grandparents, Wyndham and Darlene French, Bernell Strohbehn and Dorthy Krumwiede.
