Joshua James Fowler

Joshua J. Fowler, age 29, of Battle Creek, formerly of Holstein, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 05, 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Ridge View High School North Gym of Holstein with the Msgr Kenneth A Seifried officiating.  A visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein.  Burial will be at the Holstein Cemetery of Holstein. The family requests casual clothing (hoodies and Hey Dudes) for the services.

Joshua James Fowler was born April 6, 1995 to Marc and Gina (Anderson) Fowler in Pender, NE. The family moved to Holstein, Iowa. Josh graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2013 then attended Iowa Central Community College for one year.

Josh worked at the Tyson turkey plant as a refrigeration mechanic for almost 10 years.

Josh met and began dating Shannon Palmer nine years ago and together they raised their two daughters, Kenlee and Kambria. They lived in Holstein until two months ago when their family moved to Battle Creek.

In his free time Josh enjoyed hunting, grilling, the Sioux City Musketeers and attending his daughters dance competitions.  He would do anything for anyone in need in a heartbeat.

He is survived by his life partner, Shannon Palmer of Battle Creek; daughters, Kenlee and Kambria Fowler; parents, Marc and Gina Fowler of Holstein, IA; sister, Katelyn (Kwaun) Johnson of Holstein, IA; brothers, Jeremy (Ashley) Fowler of Cherokee, IA and Jon (Sarah) Fowler of Sioux City, IA; nieces, Sariah, Shanelle, Sharolette and nephews, James and Jo, all of Cherokee, IA; grandmothers, Donna Paulton and GG Fowler; Gina’s foster parents, Todd and Cathy Ascherl; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael Fowler and James Anderson and aunts, Roberta and Dori.
