oyce Agnes Fraser was born May 27, 1927 to Bernice and Valley LeMoine Sr. in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended Central High School but left to work at The Battery during the war. She met her future husband, Chuck at a dance and they were married on August 23, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa. The family moved to Holstein in 1949 and opened Chuck’s Body Shop. They bought the house next door, where they raised their five children. Joyce was a homemaker, mother and caregiver. She also was a courier of parts for Chuck’s Boy Shop. She was a member of Eastern Star, Church Circle, American Legion and Mary’s Circle. Joyce was a Cub and Girl Scout leader, American Legion Jr. Auxiliary leader and volunteered for the United Methodist Turkey supper and Meal’s on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Fraser; daughter, Linda Groepper; grandson, Matthew Groepper; and brothers, Valley Jr. and Wilber LeMoine. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Judy (Wes) Peterson of Sioux City, IA; sons, Tom (Gwyn) Fraser of Peoria, IL and Jody (Kim) Fraser of Holstein, IA; daughter, Carla (Dylan) DeVries of Hoxie, KS; grandchildren, Brad Peterson, Tina Peterson, T.C. Fraser, Missy Fraser, Mary Corella, Joe Groepper, Dan Groepper, Alica Fraser, Billy Fraser, Valerie Fraser, Claire DeVries and Andrew DeVries; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Madison Peterson, Corbin Peterson-Mehrer, Lilly and Blaise Fleming, Max Corella and Bretton Fraser; and sister, Vada Halderman of Dallas, TX.
