Joyce Elayne (Myrtue) Stamp of Holstein, Iowa passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the age of 80 years and 11 months.

Joyce, the daughter of Andrew and Laura (Kuehl) Myrtue, was born July 8, 1934 on the family farm near Washta. She attended country school and graduated from Holstein High School in 1951. On August 19, 1951 she married Robert Frahm and lived on a farm north of Holstein. They had two children, Joel and Jodee. Robert died in a plane crash in 1960.

Joyce married Wendell Jensen in 1961. They farmed near Holstein. They had three children, Wendy, Dan and Laura. They divorced in 1979.

Joyce was united in marriage to Ardell Stamp on June 26, 1981 at the United Methodist Church in Holstein. They moved to Ardell’s family farm shortly after. Ardell and Joyce farmed and raised livestock and Joyce was an avid gardener.

Joyce had several jobs during her life but most enjoyed being a farm wife. She loved to read, fish, camp, watch the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bulls and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Laura Myrtue; husband Robert Frahm; son Joel Jensen; daughter Jodee Williams; sister Della Gebers; and brother Soren Myrtue. Joyce’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Ardell of Holstein; daughter, Wendy Sander (Greg), Estherville, Iowa; son Dan Jensen, Burlington, Iowa; daughter Laura Gogg (Rich), Grinnell, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister Edna Lill, Sussex, Wisconsin; brother Merle Myrtue, Holstein, Iowa, and nieces and nephews.
