June Ann Salton was born June 7, 1933 to Marion Fonso and Anna (Whiteneck) Milton in Storm Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Storm Lake High School.
June was united in marriage to Robert Phares Clark on December 14, 1954. To this union one daughter and four sons were born. After Robert’s death in November 1973, June married Harold A. Salton in August 1976.
June lived for her family; she loved getting together with her children and grandchildren each summer and during the holidays. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook and baker. June always put others first, she was always willing to help others and was a great volunteer. She was active in the Hospital Auxiliary and was a Hospice Volunteer at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center. She was also a member of the Order of the Easter Star, an Election Official, an active member at the Alta Country Club, a member of the Alta Library board, a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed attending bridge club. June was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Alta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; son, Todd Mitchell Clark; daughter, Cindy Jo Clark; three sisters and four brothers.
June is survived by three sons, Mark (Carolyn) Clark of Pine City, MN, Troy Clark of Alta, IA and Kyle Clark of Waterloo, IA; seven grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
