Junior Clinton Law was born November 8, 1924 to Clifford and Maymee (Wright) Law in Flandreau, SD. His family moved from Flandreau, to Correctionville just after he was born where the family settled on his grandfather's farm as a young boy. He graduated from Correctionville High School in 1943 and entered the Army during World War ll.
He married Bonnie Gray in Correctionville on March 2, 1947. They bought a farm near Quimby in 1954 where he lived for 69 years. He enjoyed farming and was proud of the many projects he did to make his farm very productive. His last project was completed in November and he stated that everything he wanted to do was finally accomplished. He liked to sit outside and look over the farm that he loved. His favorite tractor was a John Deere 730 diesel and he moved a pile of dirt with it in September.
Junior lived a very active life. He took his family on summer trips every year. He played with a card group and square danced on a weekly basis. He liked dancing so much that he sold his cattle and spent part of the winters in Arizona in a motorhome. He built a house in Mesa 1990 and spent the last 33 winters square dancing, line dancing and later playing dominoes.
Junior was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church and the Velda Rose United Methodist Church in Mesa, Arizona. He was a member of the local Country Cruisers dance club, and various square and line dance clubs in Mesa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie, a son Dennis, brothers, William and Verle, and sisters, Donna and Maxine, and a special dancing partner Maria.
