Lois Dorothy Freese was born December 17, 1924 to Milton and Leona (Will) Roehlk. She was born and raised in Holstein, Iowa and graduated from Holstein High School. Lois was united in marriage to LeRoy Freese on August 18, 1943. To this union three children were born. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family. Lois was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Holstein, where she served on several church boards. She also was a member of numerous election boards for the city and county.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Janine Selberg; brother, Donald Roehlk; and grandson, Mark Benson.
She is survived by her daughter, Mavis Yunge (Bob Stroud); her son, Owen Freese and wife Marcia; granddaughters, Dawn (Jeff) Grell, Sonya Benson (Jim), Lindsay (Trevor) Bechtold; grandson, Austin Selberg; great-grandchildren, Alicia Mickelson, Megan Mummert and Brecken Bechtold; great-great-grandson, Collin Hamilton and great-great-granddaughter, Abriella Susano.
Visitation:
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral:
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 06, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church of Holstein with the Rev. Dori K. Collogon officiating.
Burial:
Burial will be at the Holstein Cemetery of Holstein.
