Marilyn Marie (Cobb) Mooney

Marilyn Marie Mooney, age 86, of Holstein, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Holstein Senior Living of Holstein.  Marilyn was a resident of Holstein, Iowa, formerly from Marion, Ohio.  She retired as Office Manager at Sears in Marion, Ohio after 20 plus years of service.  She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holstein.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Cobb, her husband of 50 years, Myron Eugene Mooney, her companion of ten years, Darrell Miller, and her son, Timothy Scott Mooney.  Also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Rebecca Jones (Harry), Jean Laird (Bob), Bill Cobb (Violet), Jim Cobb (Cindy).

Surviving are her son, Jack Mooney (Judith) of Keller, Texas, and her daughter, Myra Kay Ploetz (Michael) of Brecksville, Ohio. She was a grandmother, a great-grandmother  and was honored as the matriarch of five generations which included 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all.
