Michael John Kelley

Michael J. Kelley, age 49, of Holstein, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his home of Holstein.  Services will be held at a later date.  The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein is in charge of the arrangements.

Michael John Kelley was born January 1, 1972 in Alta, Iowa.  His parents were Charles and Margret “Peggy” Dodd- Korleski.  He graduated from Galva-Holstein High School in 1990. After graduation he joined the U.S.  Army.

Mike was united in marriage to Barbara Fisher on March 16, 1992 in Augusta, Georgia.  To this union two children were born, Mikkal and Donald.

Mike worked at V.T. Industries where held many positions as floor personnel and was recently promoted to a department manager. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, boating and hiking in the woods.  He also enjoyed woodworking.  Mike was a caring person; always lending a hand to anyone in need and regularly spent free time helping the clients at I.S.I. of Ida County.

He is survived by his wife, Barb of Holstein, IA; daughter, Mikkal Kelley of Holstein, IA; son, Donald Kelley of Holstein, IA; mother, Peggy Korleski of Aurelia, IA; father and step-mother, Charles and Charlotte Kelly of AR; grandmother, Florence Dodd of Alta, IA; grandfather, Tom Winn of AR; sister, Jenny Hawks of Dension, IA; brothers, Cody Kelley of Aurelia, IA, Jay Dee Kelley of Holstein, IA, Cody Behrens of Aurelia, IA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Dodd; uncles, Kenny Dodd and Willy Dodd; niece Olyvia Kelley and best friend, Dan Graeber.
