Morris "Bud" Satter

January 20, 1929 — April 23, 2016

Morris Richard Satter was born January 20, 1929 to Oscar and Violet (Jacobson) Satter in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up on a farm west and south of Sloan and graduated from Sloan High School in 1948. Upon graduation he joined the Air Force for four years and was stationed in Bangor, Maine at Dow Air Force Base.

Bud was united in marriage to Donna Parks and worked on a farm by Blencoe for 10 years, where they raised three sons and a daughter. The family moved to Onawa where he worked for 29 years in the Department of Transportation until his retirement. Donna passed away in 1985.

Morris was a member of the First Christian Church and Commander of the American Legion in Onawa for one year. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Andresen in August 1986. They lived in Onawa for two years, then bought a farm west and north of Castana, Iowa where they raised sheep and farmed the land. They moved to Galva then to Holstein.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Holstein, IA; children, James (Glenda) Satter of Globe, AZ, Luann (Alan) Puntney of Norfolk, NE, and Randy Satter of Louviers, CO; step- children, Tim (Maureen) Andresen of Galva, IA, Tom (Cheryl) Andresen of Holstein, IA, Jerry (Anne) Andresen of Holstein, IA and Linda (Steven) Klotz of Holstein, IA; grandchildren, Kyle Satter, Tory (Kara) Satter, Dustin Puntney, Jenna (Brent) Jochum, Rebecca Satter, Robert Satter, Megan Satter, Scott Chandler, Curtis Satter, Kirk Satter and Suzanne Satter; step-grandchildren, Doug (Jacy) Andresen, Craig (Nikki) Andresen, Kelly Andresen (special friend Justin), Marc Andresen (special friend, Sheana), Nick Andresen, Ben Andresen, Victoria Andresen (fiancée Nick), Erica (Nathan) Wagner, Evan (Julie) Andresen, Adam (Nora) Klotz, Hannah Klotz (special friend Aaron) and Jon Klotz; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Mason, Max, Martine, Emilee, Trey, Mia, Skyler, Kaden, Carly, Gunnar, Sutton, Nora and Emersyn; and sister Adelene Bromander of Smithland, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Morris was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna; son Robert; infant brother; brother-in-law, Ted Bromander; and granddaughter-in-law, Kathleen Satter.
