Penny Lou Radke

Penny Lou Radke, age 72, of Glenwood, IA, formerly of Holstein, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Glen Haven Village of Glenwood.  A private family funeral service will be held.  Burial will be at the Holstein Cemetery of Holstein. There will be no public visitation.

Penny was born February 11, 1948 to Virgil and Elmeree (Schrader) Radke at Cherokee, Iowa.  She was baptized in April of 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Galva, Iowa.  Penny spent her first three years at home with family.  In September 1951 she moved to Glenwood where she lived the rest of her life.

Penny enjoyed listening to soft music, sitting outside on the patio of her home and all of the short bus rides to the ice cream store for a dish of ice cream or yogurt.

She is survived by her mother, Elmeree; brothers, Michael (Anita) Radke and Thomas (Gladys) Radke; sister, Lisa (Brian) Cronin; uncles, Kenneth (Mary) Radke, Arlo Dean (Margaret) Radke, and Lee (Beverly) Radke; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Penny was preceded in death by her father Virgil in 1963; grandparents, Elmer and Nina Schrader and Albert and Dorretta Radke; aunt, Elsie (Wilbert) Otto and uncle, Wendell Radke.
