Richard C. Hintz was born in rural Holstein, Iowa to Carl and Erma (Andresen) Hintz on January 19, 1934. Following graduation from Holstein High School in 1952, he worked in Holstein until he started farming in 1963. He retired from farming in 2000 but continued to help other farmers.
He was united in marriage to Andra Ewoldt on June 24, 1956 and they shared 59 years together. He enjoyed giving children rides in his barrel train at local events. He also liked to go to toy shows and auctions collecting John Deere toys.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Krista.
He is survived by his wife Andra of Holstein, son, Randy of Battle Creek, IA; two daughters, Tammy (Bob) Musfelt of Lusk, WY and Lori (Charles) McGhee of Norfolk, NE; and grandchildren, Jaime (Brock) Merrill and Jace Musfelt of Casper, WY.
