Ronda K. Kroll, age 64, of Galva, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center of Omaha, NE. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 03, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Galva with the Rev. Paul D. Egger officiating. Burial will be at the Galva Township East Cemetery of Galva. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 02, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with the family present from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Galva.
Ronda was born on Oct. 27, 1952 in Cherokee, IA to Wendell and Geraldine “Gerry” Olson. She was a 1970 graduate of Galva High School, and lived in Galva, IA most of her life. She married Calvin Kroll on Aug. 30, 1975, and she was a proud mother to Trevor and Todd as well as loving grandmother to William, Andrew, Lola, and Alise. She also loved her Pekinese dogs dearly and made them a part of her family. Ronda worked at the restaurant in Galva for many years. Most currently, she was the director at Bright Beginnings Daycare & Preschool in Cherokee, IA. She loved her family at Bright Beginnings and was very passionate about childcare.
Ronda was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Galva. She also enjoyed playing golf and vacationing in Florida. Most of all, she treasured time with her family especially at Christmas time. Ronda will be remembered for her joyful personality, smile, and laugh. She was a friend to all.
Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Geraldine; her brother Brad Olson; and her husband Calvin.
Those left to honor her memory include sons, Trevor (Elizabeth) Kroll of Papillion, NE, and Todd (Kristen) Kroll of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, William and Andrew Kroll, and Lola and Alise Kroll; as well as many extended family members, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
