Timothy Wayne Bechtel was born June 1, 1969 to DeWayne and Marla Bechtel in Alta, Iowa. He attended Schaller High School through the 9th grade. Tim worked for IBP in Storm Lake, IA for several years before finding his real love of driving his own truck as an owner/operator. Tim also worked at Hubbard Feeds and Godfather’s Pizza.
He married Reagan Payne on September 26, 1993 in Alta, Iowa. Together they had two children, Chaz and Shelby.
Tim had a strong work ethic, but when not working, he especially enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, and cooking for his family and friends. People who knew him will always remember him for being caring and always willing to do anything for a person in need of help.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, DeWayne.
He is survived by his mother, Marla Bechtel of Alta, IA; son, Chaz Bechtel of Cherokee, IA; daughter, Shelby Bechtel of Auerlia, IA; nephew, Josh Bechtel of Dallas, TX; siblings, Jeannie (Scott) Condon of Clare, IA; Connie Bechtel (and fiancée Michael Jarrell) of Nashville, TN, Jodi (Chris) Thevenot of Alta, IA, John (Dawn) Bechtel of Laurens, IA, Joleene (Chad) Smith of Fort Dodge, IA; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral:
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Alta with the Rev. Don E. Rothweiler officiating
Burial:
Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery of Alta. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Alta.
