Todd L. Fogleman

May 14, 1977 — January 29, 2016

Todd Lowell Fogleman was born on May 14, 1977 to Denny and Shar Fogleman in Sioux City Iowa. He was born on Mother’s Day and was truly a gift. We were all blessed to have Todd in our lives – he taught us so much about loving, forgiving, patience, tolerance and above all treating others as he would want to be treated.

Todd’s greatest gifts were his two children – Zach and Jakob. He was so proud of both boys and tried to attend as many of their activities as possible. Zach and Jake both played soccer which Todd loved to watch. Zach played basketball and Todd was so proud of him. He loved going to the Muskies games and cheering for the Sioux City Musketeers. His niece Emalee Fundermann and nephew Ely Fundermann are both avid athletes and Todd loved cheering for the Maple Valley Anthon Oto Rams. He was very good at letting the referees know when they missed a call. Todd was also a dedicated Iowa State Cyclone fan. His closet was a true testament to his spirt and dedication. If the games were televised, it was always a family event to cheer the Cyclones on to victory.

Todd’s best friend was Lilly, his Cocker Spaniel. They were together 24-7. Each day Todd would report whether she had been good or bad – either way she brought a smile to his face. They were inseparable.

Todd loved to play cards and learned from his Grandma’s Schumacher, Mammen and Barrett. He also loved to fish with his dad, take his kids fishing and played some golf. Todd loved legos and he spent many hours with Jakob constructing and building airports and farms.

After Todd graduated from River Valley High School in 1995, he attended Western Iowa Tech and received his degree in Drafting. Immediately after WIT, he was hired by Wilson Trailer. He loved his job there and was able to design livestock trailers. Even after his strokes, his Wilson Trailer family was very supportive of Todd and understanding of his condition.

Todd was a member of the United Methodist Church in Correctionville. He will be remembered by his sons Zach and Jakob; his parents Denny and Shar Fogleman; his sister Tammy Fundermann (Scott) and niece and nephew Emalee and Ely Fundermann. Also aunts Marilyn (Barry) Mead, Sandy (Mike) Wilde; uncles Tom Mammen, Ted (Karen) Mammen, Torry Mammen and many cousins and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his aunt Sandy Dunbar and grandparents, Esther Barrett, Lowell Fogleman, Elmer and Colleen Mammen, and Ted and Iona Schumacher.
